I like your changes to your elephant. The Fez hat looks a lot better and fits better with the rest of the illustration! I also like the black you added to the ears, it gives it an even more "killer elephant" feel lol.. I thought the grass looked good in the first illustration - If you wanted to keep it maybe you could add it back in on the bottom and just have a few strands going over the elephant.
